What is JAMNAV©

GPS

GPS stands for Global Positioning System and is used primarily to locate features on the earth. The system is a constellation of between 24 and 32 medium earth orbit NAVSTAR satellites that transmit precise radiowave signals that enable GPS receivers to determine their current location, time, and velocity (including direction), anywhere on earth.

This is the utilization of GPS technology to assist in the arrival at a final destination from an initial location. Timely, automatic instructions are issued via map illustrations, text, and voice commands, offering the user turn by turn directions to a desired destination.

“I have been using JAMNAV© for almost a year and find it invaluable for identifying property locations, particularly around parts of Kingston. I loaned my unit to some visitors who were touring the island over the summer - it guided them safely to all locations and back to Kingston. They were exceedingly impressed with the system and with the level of detail included - particularly ATM and gas station location information.”
